PLANT MATTER FOOD PRIVACY STATEMENT

We are based in London, Ontario in three locations:

Plant Matter Bistro – 244 Dundas Street, London, ON N6A 1H3, Plant Matter Kitchen – 162 Wortley Road, London, ON N6C 3P7, and Plant Matter Cafe – 717 Richmond Street, London, ON N6A 3H1.

SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online.

Forms:

When you fill out a form from our application (for reservations, catering or contact), as part of the use of our site, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, phone number and email address, or other details to help you with your experience.

Email marketing (if applicable):

With your consent, we may send you emails about our restaurant, new products and other updates.

SMS (text) marketing (if applicable):

With your consent, we may send you texts about our restaurant, new products and other updates.

SECTION 2 – CONSENT

How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a form, verify your email address, book a reservation, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. How do I withdraw my consent? For newsletters, you can simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law.

SECTION 4 – PLANT MATTER FOOD

Your data is stored through Plant Matter Food’s data storage, databases and the general Plant Matter Food application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. If we use transactions, all transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Third-party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless we provide users with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it’s release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. Once you leave our restaurant’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website. When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. SECTION 6 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

If our restaurant is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
